Terms of Service

Effective October 5, 2026 · Elrod Financial, LLC, doing business as BOB ("BOB," "we," "us")

These Terms govern your use of BOB (Book of Business), the software at getbob.agency. By creating an account or using BOB you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use BOB.

1. What BOB is

BOB is independent software that helps licensed insurance producers and agencies keep track of their own book of business: clients, cases, commissions, chargebacks, costs, goals, and team results. BOB is not an insurance carrier, agency, broker, or financial, tax, or legal adviser, and it is not affiliated with any carrier.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for keeping your login secure, and for everything done under your account. We strongly recommend turning on two-step sign-in.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. One person, one account: accounts are for the individual who signs up and may not be shared.
  • If you join an agency owner's team through an invite link, your numbers roll up into that agency's dashboard. You still hold your own account and pay for your own subscription.

3. Free trial

New users get one free 14-day trial per person. During the trial you have access to Producer Plus features regardless of the plan you choose. We may treat variations of the same email address, or accounts created to get another trial, as one person, and may start a returning person on a paid plan right away. No card is needed to start a trial.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • After the trial, BOB requires a paid monthly subscription. Current plans and prices are shown at getbob.agency and on the Subscribe page: Producer, Producer Plus, and Agency. Prices may change; we'll give notice before a change applies to you.
  • Founding Member pricing. Customers who join as one of the first 75 Founding Members receive 50% off the regular price of their plan for as long as they remain a paid subscription member. The discount is tied to your account and applies when you subscribe or switch plans. We may end the discount if your account is closed or terminated, and we may change or end the Founding Member offer for new members at any time.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. You authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method every month until you cancel. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Cancel anytime. Use Manage Billing on the Subscribe page. When you cancel, your access continues until the end of the month you've already paid for, and then it pauses. You won't be charged again.
  • No refunds. Payments are non-refundable, including for partial months, except where the law requires otherwise. Contact us at the address below if you believe you were charged in error.
  • If a payment fails, we may retry it and may pause your access until it is resolved.
  • You can switch plans at any time on the Subscribe page. Changes take effect right away, and Stripe adjusts the difference on your next invoice.
  • Taxes, if any apply, are added to your invoice.

5. Your data

The clients, cases, commissions, and other information you enter belong to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to run BOB for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to enter your clients' information and for following the privacy, licensing, and insurance laws that apply to you.

Please don't enter Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, medical or health information, or passwords into BOB, including in notes fields. BOB isn't designed to store them.

You can ask us to export or delete your data at any time (see section 10 and the Privacy Policy).

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse BOB. That includes: breaking the law or a third party's rights; trying to access another person's account or data; probing, overloading, or disrupting the service; scraping or copying it; reverse engineering it; using it to build a competing product; creating accounts to get repeat free trials; or uploading malicious files. We may suspend or end accounts that do.

7. Information, not advice

Calculators, estimates, goals, projections, and the tax set-aside suggestion in BOB are informational tools based on what you enter and on commission-rate tables that we or you maintain. They may be incomplete or out of date, and they are not financial, tax, legal, or insurance advice. Check important numbers against your carrier statements and speak to a qualified professional for tax or legal questions. You are responsible for decisions you make using BOB.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep BOB running and your data safe, but we don't promise uninterrupted or error-free service. We may add, change, or remove features. We back up our database, but you should keep your own copies of anything important; you can ask us for an export.

9. Our rights

BOB's software, design, name, and mascot belong to us. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use BOB while your account is in good standing. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

10. Ending your account

You can stop using BOB at any time and cancel your subscription as described above. To close your account and delete your data, email us at the address below. We may suspend or end your account if you break these Terms or if your payments fail, and we may end the service with reasonable notice. If we end your account without cause, we will refund any prepaid, unused period.

11. Disclaimers

BOB is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

12. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, commissions, revenue, or data, arising from your use of BOB. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.

13. Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Please contact us first to try to resolve any problem informally. Any claim that isn't resolved will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

14. Transfer of the service

We may transfer these Terms, and the BOB service, to an affiliate or to a successor that takes over the business, for example if we reorganize or form a new company to run BOB. We will tell you if that happens, and your subscription, data, and these Terms will carry over. You may not transfer your account to someone else without our written consent.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use BOB after that means you accept the updated Terms.
